Though Hancock Software provides more than 40,000 standard items available to add to a site audit, there are times when you come across that retrofit fixture or inventory item that is not in the system yet.
To record these items, you can search for "generic" or "blank" and select an item that has no data. Once you have chosen an item, add the selected item to the Space, then Edit the details to meet your needs.
The other option is to select an existing item that that is close to the type of item you would like to enter or find a "blank" item that matches the type of item you are trying to add. Once you have chosen an item, Add the selected item to the Space, then Edit the details to meet your needs.
1) In My Site > Items, click "New Item" Find a blank item by searching for "generic". Find a similar item by searching on keywords for the item type you are looking for. One example may be "Fluorescent" or "LED" for types of bulbs or "Fixture". Check an item that is similar (or of the same category aka T5).
2) Save the item
3) On the Items screen, click on the item name you just added.
You can then modify any of the properties and click "OK"
If you determine that there are items which you frequently use and would like them added to the database, please contact your Program Manager and new items can be easily added for the entire team to use.
